Somewhat of a engineering question. Why does the 8KCAB have a normal category manuvering speed of 104 kts @1800# yet for aerobatics the VA is raised to 113kts at the same gross weight?
Unless I am misinterperting something, I assume if one flies as a normal category A/C the flight loads are +3.8G and a VA of 104kts. OR if flown as an aerobatic category in flight loads are +6.0 G and a VA of 113kts. which may influence the different VAs? But: the A/C is approved for a flight load of 6.0G
The POH states as well as the FAA approved supliment to the POH state.
"Limitations are applicable to both Nonmal and Acrobatic Category except where designated as applying to only one category."
The one category on aircraft limitations is VA increase when doing aerobatics. But if 113 KTS @ 1800# is approved when doing aerobatics why is the normal catagory VA lowered to 104KTS at the same weight if the A/C is designed & approved for a 6.o G flight load?
FYI my KCAB is a 1997 model and the FAA approved revision to the POH is revised and dated 1996
