About the Role:
American Champion Aircraft Corp., a leading manufacturer of FAA-certified light aircraft, is seeking an experienced CNC Operator/Programmer to join our precision machining team. This position plays a vital role in supporting the production of our all-American aircraft line, ensuring each part meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Produce machined aircraft components by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines.

• Study work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and specifications to plan efficient machining processes.

• Interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) with accuracy and precision.

• Utilize CAM software for part programming and tool path optimization.

• Set up and operate turning centers with live tooling, 3-axis mills, and other equipment as needed.

• Maintain quality and safety standards while documenting work and monitoring production output.

• Perform basic maintenance on equipment and ensure work areas remain organized and efficient.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a lead machinist.

• Proficient in CNC programming, setup, and multi-machine operation (2–3 machines simultaneously).

• Strong understanding of machining parameters, cutting speeds, and material properties.

• Experience with SolidWorks is a plus.

• Must be detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to precision craftsmanship.
