Torque on 5/16" nuts for muffler instalation Using the Lycoming # 77611 Exhaust gaskets per Lyc. S.I 1205D, what is the recommender torque on the exhaust nuts.

My '98 Super Decathlon has come back from the maintenance shop with a few different types of screws for the upper/lower cowling. Can you please tell me the correct factory size screw and Tinnerman clips to use, part numbers if possible? Thank you. -Ryan

Hi has anyone had a repair to cracked rib flanges. Where the original flange is left in place. They used ring lock nails so very hard to remove without damaging the spar. My question is has there been a fix where a new flange has been riveted onto the rib on the opposite side to the flange, and new nails used, ,saving the spar from destruction, the spars were replaced within the past 7 years seems ashame to replace them again as its only a couple of ribs with the problem. Alternatively is there a way to remove the rinlock nails I look forward to any advice cheers Tom
