Cracked rib flanges Hi all I have recently purchased a citabria with wood spars, it has a couple of ribs with cracked flanges,

Hi has anyone had a repair to cracked rib flanges. Where the original flange is left in place. They used ring lock nails so very hard to remove without damaging the spar.

My question is has there been a fix where a new flange has been riveted onto the rib on the opposite side to the flange, and new nails used, ,saving the spar from destruction, the spars were replaced within the past 7 years seems ashame to replace them again as its only a couple of ribs with the problem.

Alternatively is there a way to remove the rinlock nails
