Is ACA going to add an electronic ignition anytime soon? I have read that we can put one side on but not allowed to have it advance or retard the timing with rpm unless it is being done on new aircraft.

It has nothing to do with being a new aircraft.
The with the SureFly it is optional according to the STC.
Lycoming however does not use the advance feature on their new engines.
